My Soundtrack

Wed Aug 2, 2006, 8:36 PM
Of course, I had to steal this one. Courtesy of .

Open iTunes. Put your library on shuffle and type the song that plays first in the 'Opening Credits' position. Then wait for the next song and type it into the 'Waking Up' section, etc...

Opening Credits: I Just Wanna Live--Good Charlotte
Comments: I can picture opening credits for my life with this song. Totally. :) I'm actually seeing a sequence in my head as it plays.

Waking Up: Nobody's Problems--Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Comments: Um, no. Perhaps somewhere else, but not waking up. Have you ever heard this song? It's sung by Angela Lansbury. And she's amazing. But not something you play when you're waking up.

Falling In Love: City of New Orleans--Arlo Guthrie
Comments: No, lol. I mean, MAYBE if you totally stretch it. But... just no. No. I take it back. It wouldn't work even if you stretched it. Good song, though.

Fight Scene: Main Street Electrical Parade--Walt Disney World
Comments: LOL! If this is what someone would choose for a fight scene... No one could take it seriously. xD Besides, Disney and fighting don't go together. It's so bubbly sounding, and happy! I can't even imagine someone fighting during this.

Breaking Up: Black Horse and the Cherry Tree--KT Tunstall
Comments: I supose it could be an ANGRY breakup and this might work. The words work, but not really the melody. I dunno. Like I said: angry break up, maybe. Sad break up? No way.

Make-up: Sugar We're Goin Down--Fall Out Boy
Comments: I don't think so. I don't see it at all.

Secret Love: Underwater March--Pirates of the Caribbean
Comments: I guess if it's a totally DOOMED love. Tragic and deadly and one of us is watching the other die or something equally sad, it could work. Seems more like a death dirge, though. Or they could be leaving forever across a distant sea. And I'm all weepy, "Noo!" and they're all, "I'll come back for you!" but everyone knows they won't.

Life's Okay: Everybody Wants to be a Cat--The Aristocats
Comments: Lol! This kind of works. The lyrics would be weird, but the melody would rock for this category.

Heartbreak: Farewell (Instrumental)--Pocahontas
Comments: Soft, and almost sweet. This would work. It would be a light heartbreak, though. Like seeing the person I loved kiss someone else. Or knowing that having to part was for the best. Something bittersweet.

Mental Breakdown: Grim, Grinning Ghosts--Walt Disney World
Comments: Haha. What type of mental breakdown are we talking about? A funny one? Am I seeing things? Ghosts? Then totally. Otherwise, it's just kind of funny. If it's a dramatic and sad one, it would be out of place. But I like the thought of this coming up for this question.

Driving: Gibberish--Relient K
Comments: Works. :'D Thank heavens, it works! This type of music is so fun to drive to. Especially on interstates.

Flashbacks: You Found Me--Kelly Clarkson
Comments: It kind of works. Definitely talks about the past. It would be happy memories. About a loved one. Almost might fit TOO well, however. I always think it's creepy when songs fit TOO well (like, word for word) to the scenes.

Happy Dance: Deeper--Delirious?
Comments: It would work, I guess. Depends on HOW happy I am. This is only a mildly happy song. Not a euphoriously happy or even very happy sounding song. And terribly hard to dance to. Especially a crazy happy dance.

Regretting: Everything--Stacie Orrico
Comments: Works well, actually. Only problem is that it's talking about the FUTURE. But the mood and tune work marvelously. Pretty, too.

Long Night Alone: Am I Understood?--Relient K (again! :o )
Comments: Doesn't work really well. Maybe I'm drunk, and talking to someone who isn't there! :'D

Final Battle: Believe--Lola Rennt Soundtrack
Comments: It works okay. Not a very painful sounding final battle. I dunno. Can't really see it, but I suppose it would work.

Death Scene: Gravity--Vienna Teng
Comments: Soft and beautiful. A nice death song. I would be dying slowly, bleeding out, perhaps, and everyone would be all, "Don't talk, save your energy!" but I'd whisper to them. Things like, "I love you, everything will be okay." And then I'd slip into death.

Ending Credits: Epcot Entrance Medley--Walt Disney World
Comments: But then, there's some sort of cliff hanger! And you are caught off gaurd! And you're like, "Hot dang! I've gotta see the next movie now." And exit the theater with cool music playing in the background. Yeah, that works.

So, all-in-all: The beginning and ending were good. In between? Not so much. Maybe I should choose the music myself.

Logic will break your heart.
It's a lovely picture. And, you know, when my aunt was all cancery. And I was all messed up. And it was just a stress-post that happened to get a lot of attention from lots of people.
